Soroyi Terms of Service

Welcome to Soroyi. By accessing or using our platform as a host, moderator, or session participant, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Soroyi.
1Description of the Service
Soroyi provides a minimalist, realtime speaking queue software application designed to facilitate respectful, moderated questions, voice notes, and live speaking requests during online or in-person group meetings, workshops, and calls.
2User Roles & Responsibilities
A. Hosts and Co-Moderators
- You are responsible for securing your account credentials and managing invitations to co-moderators.
- You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from participants before playing voice recordings or publishing transcripts during group calls.
- You maintain control over session lifecycle (opening, closing, and permanent data deletion).
B. Session Participants
- You may join sessions anonymously without an account.
- You agree to contribute truthfully, respectfully, and in accordance with acceptable use guidelines.
- You have the right to withdraw or edit your questions while they remain pending in the queue.
3Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Soroyi to:
- Transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, or invasive of another's privacy.
- Impersonate any person or entity without permission.
- Upload malicious files, automated scripts, or attempt to disrupt the integrity and performance of the service.
- Bypass or attempt to circumvent Row-Level Security policies or access permissions.
4Beta Access & Future Plans
Soroyi is currently offered as a public beta without subscription or usage fees. During the beta period:
- Features, usage limits, and platform capabilities may evolve as we iterate and incorporate user feedback.
- Beta access is provided free of charge, and no payment information is required to access currently released features.
- You will not be billed or automatically converted to a paid tier. Access to any future paid plans will require your affirmative selection and agreement.
- We will provide reasonable advance notice to registered hosts before introducing paid plans or material changes to tier limits.
5Intellectual Property & Content Ownership
Your Content Remains Yours: Participants and hosts retain all ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in their voice recordings, typed questions, and transcripts. By submitting content, you grant Soroyi only the limited, non-exclusive license necessary to host, transcribe, process, and transmit the content to authorized moderators of your session.
6Data Retention & Erasure
Soroyi automatically purges voice recordings and session records based on the host's configured data retention period (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days). Hosts may also manually initiate an immediate purge of all audio recordings. For detailed information, please review our Data Retention Policy.
7Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Soroyi is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Soroyi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
